Scripture Writing Plans on Hold Temporarily

Pausing Temporarily

Hello everyone 🙂  I’ve so missed compiling the scripture writing plans every month for you all!

Sadly, it couldn’t be helped and I have to put them on hold just temporarily.

My landlady has decided to sell the house we’ve been living in for nearly eight years now, so I’m in panic mode trying to pack a whole house all by myself and trying to raise the money for moving expenses before I can even find a new house to move to.

Fortunately I don’t have a move out date YET (I stalk the mailbox every day while holding my breath 🙂 )  What’s happened is that my landlady lives over an hour from us and I’ve never even met her face to face.  We’ve texted when the need arises, but as far as renting the house to us in the first place, she’s worked through her realtor.  That’s how she’s working on taking the house back to sell too.

Her realtor called me few weeks ago and said that she wanted to sell the house.  He came over and took measurements (which I thought was odd given that they should have them on file).  I asked him about that and he just kind of moved on to a new question or statement…

Anyway…my son and I have to move.  My son just turned 20 (hard to believe that!!!) but has autism and is non-verbal.  We’re both disabled. Evan due to his autism and me for several things most notably spinal stenosis with degenerative disc syndrome and arthritis in my back and knees. Add to that the fact that I recently suffered a fractured vertebrae (L1) while trying to pull a couch out of our garage to give away and clear the garage out of my husband’s hoarding collection. That happened in November and I had back surgery for that this past December.

At any rate…I have to put the scripture writing plans on hold just until we get moved and settled.  Please don’t give up on me and please check back.  I’ll be sending out a post with an update once things have calmed down (and please dear Jesus, let them calm down!!) 🙂

I’m trying to raise the funds to pay for movers and the deposit wherever it is we wind up moving to.  Until the funds are found/raised, etc. I’m just packing away.  I had to take this week off a lot of packing because my son is on spring break and I cant’ spend a lot of time in another floor of the house with him home.

I’ve reluctantly (humbly…) set up a Go Fund Me campaign to try to get enough for our move.  If you feel led to help us out, you can click here to go to that page:

February 2023 Scripture Writing Plan -You Are Enough

February 2023 scripture writing plan header

Hello everyone! I hope you are all well. Here in north central Ohio we have some icing going on out there. Today I’ve been seeking the Lord about the February Scripture Writing Plan.  I think He is putting on my heart, “You are enough” as I’ve been dealing with this issue myself.

I’m still laying a little low trying to not overdo it (since my back surgery in December).I’m allowed to lift up to 20 pounds now till April when I hope I’ll not have any more restrictions.  That will be good timing so I can be active again in the Spring and Summer and get more done around here.

So…this month the theme is, “You are enough”.  It’s a mantra I try to keep in mind for myself.  I really am dealing with a lot of feelings of unworthiness currently.  Also others finding me less than acceptable.

I have to confess the sin of envy too, I suppose.  I see other women who are in Godly relationships (I’m missing my husband who passed three years ago), who are fit and attractive.

I’m knocking on the door of a major age milestone and I’m really not dealing with it well.  My autistic son will be 20 in March and that’s always difficult.  Being a widow is bad enough, but add the autism mom, and the age milestone and it’s a real recipe for envy and it’s evil cousin named, “I’m not worthy”.

I know in my heart it’s all foolishness and that it’s God’s acceptance I’m really seeking, and I do, but I let the worries of what others think of me beat me up.  But I am actively battling it, and I thought I would share the scripture passages I’ve been reading as comfort for the February scripture writing plan.

February is the month of love, right?  I really am trying to seek just God’s love and approval.   It’s a hard day for those of us who are widows, isn’t it ladies?  And you widowers as well, of course.

So… I thought this was the perfect month to allow God’s Word to minister to us to comfort us and warm our hearts as He tells us how much He loves us and values us.  I may do a “ponderings of my predicaments” post about that.  I posted a vent on Facebook that was pretty long and I’ve gotten a lot of really sweet feedback.

I usually print these out on 28 pound white paper (or 32 pound paper is even better) and just stick them right into my planner or journal. The heavier the paper, the less chance it will tear out of your binder or planner by accident and helps resist bleeding or ghosting from your pens or markers. It helps the page turn easier too. If you choose to print these out on full-size (letter) sticker paper. I use these here. They’re priced great and you can write on them easily. They are good enough quality for my needs. If you want a top-quality sticker paper look for these or clear ones here. (Though not all pens or markers will write well on the clear ones). If you don’t want to use sticker paper, you can print them on card stock or regular printer paper and glue them down. Honestly, the sticker paper is the best way, however. Regardless of the type. Going through a lot of ink printing out planner stickers? Do like I did and enlist in the HP Instant Ink program! I’ve saved so much money on ink since I did a year and a half ago. They have different plans, but the one I’m in (the most pages) is that I can print up to 300 pages worth of ink for just over $9.99 per month. You can choose lesser pages for a lower rate, but I do a lot of printing between coupons, planner stickers and other things. Click on the image here to check it out! –>HP Instant Ink

January 2023 Scripture Writing Plan -Forward

January 2023 Scripture Writing Plan HeaderHello friends,

I’m so sorry this is right at the crack of midnight, nearly 🙂  I was having technical difficulties with the blog, but I got it worked out just in time.

I apologize for not getting the December, 2022 scripture writing plan posted to the blog last month.  I fell in my driveway on the concrete while pulling a couch down the driveway to the curb (trying to de-hoard my late husband’s stuff finally) and I lost my grip on it and fell hard, with momentum onto my back.  I fractured my L1 vertebra and, as you can imagine I was in a crazy amount of pain.

I had surgery to inject surgical cement to the area on December 2nd and I’ve been recovering since then.  I can’t lift more than 5-10 pounds for a few more days then I can increase it to 20 pounds till April.  I’m not supposed to bend, but that’s next to impossible being a widowed mom to a special needs teenager.  I’m doing my best though.

But…onward and upward.  The surgery is behind me, so pray it continues helping.  I will say the intense pain I was in from the fractured vertebra is way way better, thank the Lord.

I do need ongoing prayer from you though, if you will.  I had a Cologuard test a few months ago that came back positive for colon cancer.  I’m going to be scheduled one day in January for a colonoscopy to (please Lord) rule it out.

So anyway, let’s keep in touch better in 2023!  Have a wonderful and blessed new year!

November 2022 Scripture Writing Plan -Thankfulness

November 2022 scripture writing plan header

Hello friends!

I hope you are all well and having a great fall season!

I’ve been super busy de-hoarding our downstairs and now our garage.  As some of you may remember, I lost my husband three years ago (boy it sure doesn’t feel like that long) and he was quite the hoarder.  I’m telling ya, our two car garage was filled right to both doors with boxes and whatnot. When I began you couldn’t even step one foot in the door of either bay because a box would smack you in the face.

I’m bound and determined to get the whole thing finished before the colder weather sets in.  I’m in north central Ohio, and it’s usually starting to snow by Thanksgiving.  It’s a LOT of work and I’m just about on a first-name basis with the workers at the thrift store I’m donating to. I’m on my sixth van full right now.  Also, I hope my garbage person still likes me after the pile I left him/her last week and this week!  But it feels so good to get this under control!  It took me three years since his death to be able to emotionally attack this, but the time is finally now.

I’m hitting moments of sentimentality I’m fighting against and I’ve found that if I come upon pictures, mementos, etc., I put them all in a box to go through later so I can get some boxes gone through and moved out of the garage.

I’m trying to remember when I see something that had belonged to my husband and I start to grieve losing him, I try to be thankful for the 20 years we had together (2 years dating, 18 years married) .

Speaking of thankfulness, as I do every November, I’m offering you the theme of Thankfulness for our November scripture writing plan.  Use it to draw nearer to the Lord and be mindful of all He’s done and continues to do for us!

October 2022 Scripture Writing Plan -Rescue

October 2022 scripture writing plan header

Surprise! 🙂  I have the October, 2022 scripture writing plan ready for you early this month.

After seeking the Lord about the theme for the scripture writing plan for October, 2022, I sensed He was putting the word, “RESCUE” in my spirit.

He has been so faithful to me to rescue me from all the heartache of so much I’ve been through the last many years.  Recently, we just buried my aunt Evelyn (who was also a great friend to me) yesterday 🙁  Three weeks ago we buried her sister (both my mom’s sisters) Eunice.  Both of them suffered from Alzheimer’s, like my mom.

The Lord has comforted me so much and rescued me from temptations of blaming Him for my wounds.  Ten days ago was the three-year anniversary of my husband going to be with Jesus.  Next month will be the one year anniversary of my mom going to Heaven too.  Between those two, I lost three aunts, an uncle, and two cousins.  Wow…

That combined with all the events of the world foreshadowing the soon return of the Lord Jesus when He will rescue us from all this sorrow and struggle.  The theme of RESCUE really ministered to me as I compiled this plan.  I hope it does you as well!

September 2022 Scripture Writing Plan -Steadfastness

September 2022 scripture writing plan header

The September scripture writing plan.  We had a death in the family and another just went on hospice.  Both aunts, both my mom’s sisters, and both (like my mom and their other siblings) it’s Alzheimer’s.  So I’m a bit late, but this is the topic the Lord has put on my heart for this the past few weeks. Let’s take it to heart, all of us!

August 2022 Scripture Writing Plan -God’s Presence

August 2022 Scripture Writing Plan HeaderHi everyone 🙂

This month I sought the Lord about what He would have me use as the topic for the August, 2022 Scripture writing plan and it seemed really strongly He would have me use the theme of His Presence.

I think this is perfect for this day and age we are all living in right now with all that’s happening and threatening to happen in our world.

I think we need to be reminded that He is with us and has promised to never leave us.

My son and I read the Bible every night before bed together and last night we read the passage in Isaiah that says that the Lord engraved us in the palm of His hand.  That was a real comfort to me as I’ve been stressing about what’s happening, what could happen, how I should respond to what’s happening, etc.  I suspect I’m not alone in these feelings.

So let’s reflect on His promises of His presence from His Word towards us, His children!

July 2022 Scripture Writing Plan -Freedom and Liberty

July 2022 Scripture Writing PlanHello everyone! I hope you are all having a lovely holiday weekend (if you are in the U.S. like me).

I’ve been so crazy busy lately that I was thinking it was the 31st of June LOL.  So…I apologize for this being late this month!

I’ve been canning like a crazy woman (food preservation), and de-hoarding our basement and selling a few things of my husband’s.

He’ll be with the Lord three years in September.  I’ve just now gotten to where I feel better physically to do a lot of this work, but also emotionally in light of my grief every time I deal with something of his.

I really need to be more active here on my blogs as well.  I’ve had so many ideas that have been shelved while I am busy hauling things to the thrift store, selling the things worth selling while taking care of my autistic teen by myself.  Whew…it’s not easy being a single mom. I miss having a helpmeet!

I asked my Facebook group to give me ideas of a theme to write scriptures about this month and it seemed like freedom was high on the list.  So since I was late anyway, I pulled this out of my archives and am offering it to you for our scripture writing plan for July.

I hope you glean a lot of assurance and hope with this passages.  God bless you all!

June 2022 Scripture Writing Plan -Spiritual Warfare

June 2022 scripture writing plan header  I’m so sorry I’m late with this scripture writing plan this month, apologies offered for sure!  I’ve been teaching myself how to can and dehydrate (with YouTube videos and Facebook groups) and have been canning a lot lately and that’s taken my attention of late and time got away from me.

With all that’s happening all around us in the world right now, I think this is a good one, and a much needed one!

I hope you all are having a great summer so far.  My son is on summer vacation now and even though he is non-verbal (autism) I can tell he’s a little bored already.  But I’ve seen SO much maturity progress in him this year and he’s really becoming a nice helper to me.

Since I’m so late with this, I’ll cut the chit chat and get on with it lol

May 2022 Scripture Writing Plan -Preparing and Stewardship

May 2022 scripture writing plan headerHello everyone 🙂

It’s time for a new month of scripture writing and I offer you here the list for May.

My attention has been on preparing as well as I’m able to for any worse food shortages, and I know others who are as well.  Future shortages have been in the news lately.  Check out this article by the CEO of Goya foods for example.  Also remarks by the United States Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen here.  An article about why the shortages here, and discussions of all the many food processing plants experiencing fires, planes crashing into them, and here too.  Arsonists/terrorists are also targeting the plants that many preppers purchase from such as this fire at the Azure Standard Headquarters.  There are many other articles I could share, but these are enough to make the hair on the back of our necks stand up!

This is a great video by a Christian for those who disagree to consider as well as those who are concerned to be encouraged to continue.

I also know those who counter us saying they aren’t concerned and that God will provide.  I agree that He will provide absolutely, but the Word of God is full of examples where the Lord exhorts His people to store up for difficult times ahead.  So I did some digging and while doing so, I thought it was a perfect time to apply what I learned to the scripture writing plan for May.  My favorite passage about preparing is the first one on the list.

I hope you all will take the difficulties of these last days seriously and get busy stocking up and learning all you can about it, as I’ve been doing.  The Lord may call us up in the Rapture any day, but we should be prepared till then AND be encouraged that whatever we have prepared will be left behind for those who have been left behind.  It can help them survive the Tribulation period and have sustenance while they consider salvation through Christ.  It can help nourish the Tribulation saints!
